We make a difference!
YCC members participate in a wide variety of conservation
activities such as:
Trail maintenance and erosion control,

Restoring rare and endangered native plants to the wild,
Monitoring of wildlife (nene, costal birds, fish, endemic tree snails),
Studying human impacts on all aspects of our ecosystems,
Eradicating non-native, invasive species,
Participating in various coastal and marine resource management projects including observation of coral spawning cycle,
Maintenance and restoration of fresh water habitats,
Learning from governmental officials how the legislative process aids conservation projects,
Learning about Hawaii’s cultural relationship to the environment and participation in lo‘i (taro farm) building.
